Her birthplace was Roswell on March 29, 1985. Her name is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson was born in Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She is American and is of Mexican American heritage. Her passion for sports was born as a child. Gerina first began playing golf at the age of 15. Gerina was a graduate of Goddard High School. At the age of 16, she was a winner in New Mexico's state golf championship. Also, she was a volleyball player who competed at the state level. At the age of 2003, she enrolled at the University of Texas. During her senior years she won every tournament she competed in. During undergraduate studies she won the titles that included Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the Year.
